oakville dog photographer | Unstoppable Boulder!

Meet Boulder, the young 2 year old Lab!  This young dog is as strong as ever and an inspiration.  In his short life so far, Boulder has had to overcome a health challenge.  He has been dealing with the dreaded, stupid cancer, and it caused him to lose his leg.  No dog deserves this at any age, let alone at such a young age.  I don’t want to make this post about Boulder losing his leg, but this leads me to what I really want to talk about.  Boulder is a perfect example of why we love dogs.  As a human, you can’t help it sometimes but be down, negative or upset at your circumstances.  Not dogs, they love life and live every minute for what its worth.  Boulder is a epitome of living life to the fullest.  We were only 15 minutes into the photo shoot, we did everything to make sure we could avoid the water until almost the end of the shoot.  Do you think that was possible?  If you said no, you are absolutely correct.  Once he knew there was water, I can hear him saying, “wooohooo, water, oh water, let me have it, let me in it, oh boy, oh boy”.   Water is Boulder’s favourite activity!  He likes it even more then toys or treats.  We can learn so much from dogs.  This is why I constantly say that dog’s are my inspiration.  Dogs never think about the past or what is happening tomorrow, just the now.  Imagine how much happier we would be if we can do the same.  Enjoy a sneak peek of Boulder’s photo shoot.

georgetown dog photographer | Dakota and his gang!

Well, look at Dakota and his awfully beautiful family.  I had the pleasure of photographing Dakota and his family this past weekend.  They were all dressed dapper and elegant.  First, let’s talk about Dakota.  This Boxer, is not just stunning, but when he runs I can feel the the ground move.  If I closed my eyes, I swear I would be photographing a horse.  This dude had some serious speed!  Now, let’s talk about his adorable humans.  You can sense from the get go how important family is to them, not just the children, but the dog being also being an integral part of the family.  The sweet girls were a hoot to photograph, but definitely more of a challenge for this here dog photographer.  They said to me, “you have to have some patience to deal with dogs and children”, ha ha.  I wonder which ones I found easier to photograph?  Luckily I have a little human running around the house, so I have had my practice.  I love working with families and their dogs.  It is fun, everyone is unique, and capturing the family unity is so rewarding.  Dakota, thank you for choosing me to photograph your wonderful family, you guys rock.  Enjoy a sneak peek of your photo session.

Seriously, isn’t Dakota such a handsome fellow?

I promise 100%, Dakota is not Photo-shopped, this is timing and experience.  I keep it as close as I can to being the natural product.

Some of my favourite shots.  I took a bunch of these and it was hard to narrow down one for the blog.  I couldn’t go wrong with the one I picked, just look at them.

hamilton dog photographer | Sweet Coco!

Coco is sweet as she looks.  This Boxer lady was a pleasure to photograph.  She is 11 years young and doing pretty awesome.  There is nothing like photographing a senior dog, especially ones of the Boxer variety.  Coco was a bit shy of the camera in her face, but I worked with her.  What she gave me I took full advantage of.  She just can’t help being a Boxer, the fun side always shows up, no matter the age.  Everyone knows how much of a Boxer fan I am, especially being that my girl is part Boxer.  It is truly an honour to have Coco as part of the Leash Out family.  She is also from the city I was raised in, Hamilton, shout out to the Hammer!  Enjoy the sneak peek of photos of Coco’s sweet face.

milton dog photographer | Finn, the wonder dog!

Check out Finn, from the beautiful town of Milton, Ontario!  This wonder dog was a pleasure to photograph.  She was fast, loved water, agile and friendly.  All the ingredients to help the photographer, me, paint the canvas I am looking for.  Finn’s family was a pleasure to hang out with at the shoot.  It felt like many of shoots, we went for a nice stroll through nature.  I just happen to have my camera with me.  I can’t help but connect with people and their dogs.  It is who I am, I wear my heart on my sleeve.  I have love for life.  Seems like most dog owners are the same, and this family was no exception.  I LOVE my job!

Finn, who never seems to go chest level deep into water at the cottage, she did it for the shoot.  It’s like she knew it was game time.  Finn showed her best stuff.  I had to be ready to capture the moment.  Enjoy a sneak peek of Finn’s top model photo session.

It’s a plane, it’s a bullet, no it’s Finn the wonder dog!

The agility I was talking about.  Took Finn 1.2 seconds to jump up for this shot.
