I’m launching a new category called “Zaira Knows!”  This category will be dedicated to reviewing, recommending and rating pet toys and who would know better than Zaira!  Zaira will have only two rating systems, FUN and DURABILITY!  She doesn’t really care for COST because she isn’t the one buying it, haha, and she isn’t going to rate SAFETY because she expects owners to be informed on the products they are purchasing as it is their responsibility.  If you have a product you would like reviewed, please give us a shout out!  Here is Zaira’s first review!

I recently purchased a Barkbel™ from Petprojekt™, not for myself of course, but for my wonderful dog, Zaira!  Zaira typically doesn’t destroy her toys, unless her brother Journey is over and they challenge each other to a tug-of-war Olympics!  I have to say, the Barkbel™ is super durable, nice weight to it and very difficult to destroy.  I know, some dogs out there would love to put me to that challenge! 😉  Zaira enjoys tossing it around, chewing on it and because it has some weight to it, she enjoys that challenge.  I’m sure her neck muscles are going to be very strong.   Zaira plays with it for a good stretch, but after a while she gets bored, or possibly tired because of the weight of it.  Also, if you are playing catch, you will not be able to throw this toy very far, making it a short chase.  Aside from being super-duper durable, it is 100% natural rubber, non-toxic, comes in two sizes and two colours.  Zaira definitely recommends this toy and she gives it overall rating of 4 out 5!

Awesome review, Sandro! I bet Journey would love to test out the toy during Tug-o-War! 😛

I bet they will some how manage to bust it up! 😉

Come on join us on February 12th at Shoeless Joe’s in Milton for the annual Leash Free Milton’s Fundraiser.  The dog park doesn’t run itself, its kept clean, maintained and beautiful for the dogs by many great volunteers.  Of course you need a source of funds to assist with the expenses of running the park, and that is where your generosity helps.  There will be great prizes, raffles, silent auction and food!  I will also be there and I have donated TWO complimentary photo shoots.  Come on by and say hi and if you have any questions for me, I’m all ears!  Have fun!

I have been aching to share Toby’s photo shoot from this past Fall, but I had to be patient, his shoot was a surprise Christmas gift for his human father.  “Good things come to those who wait!” is the saying and here I present you with Toby!  This dude is so awesome.  He had a tough year with back surgery and he was diagnosed with Wobbler disease, but this 9 1/2 year old boxer was amazing.  He is in phenomenal shape, super well behaved and showed no signs of being almost 10 years old.  He is young at heart and I will never forget Toby’s photo session and his human mom.  Super special people who stamped their memories on my heart forever.

By the way, Toby is also famous, he has his own Facebook fan page, click HERE to check him out!

Enjoy the photos of Toby! 🙂

I had the absolute honour of photographing a wonderful dog named Carter, and his family today!  They were no doubt troopers.  Despite the cold, we trucked on along and we had a fun time shooting.  I love photographing dogs, that is an obvious, and I also love capturing them with their families.  The bond, loyalty and love between this family is impeccable and perfect.

Enjoy a sneak peek of the shoot today! 😀
