Dogs and animals have brought so much life and happiness to my life and giving back my time by volunteering is dear to my heart and it is one of my passions.  I volunteer as a dog trainer/socializer at the Oakville Milton Humane Society (OMHS) and it is 100% for sure the highlight of my week.  I know I haven’t mentioned in my posts my volunteer work, but it is something I hold dear to my heart.  OMHS’s MILTON MUTT STRUTT is coming up soon and this is a time where we can assist.  Organizations like these depend on charitable donations in order for them to continue to help animals in need.

At last year’s Milton Mutt Strutt I had the pleasure of meeting Yannick Carter and since then we have become friends.  Yannick currently plays for the Canadian Football League and this upcoming year he will be a Calgary Stampeder.  Of course he will be trying to beat up on my Tiger Cats, but I forgive him for that!  😉 hehe.  Aside from his pro career, he is a huge supporter of the OMHS and he takes time out of his life to help them.  He is currently registered for the Milton Mutt Strutt and he has a goal to reach.  Let’s support Yannick and his love for animals and give as much as you can so he can smoke his target.

Yannick has rescued two cats, Bentley & Kohl, and a dog named Mia, his love for his pets is the epitome of what a kind hearted person he is.  Getting to know Yannick over this past year, I know he would say his furry friends have given him just as much happiness then he could ever have imagined.  Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing him and Mia and they were naturals!!!  Check out some of the pictures below, but before you do, please support Yannick by sponsoring him.

Enjoy the photos! 🙂

Hello everyone!

I hope you are having an excellent well deserved weekend.  Last year I blogged about how a new Leash Out website was coming soon and here I am a quarter into 2013 and no new website.  🙁  I’m happy to say I have been kept busy doing what I love, taking photographs of your cutie doggies, but I do need to attend to my website, so I promise it will be out soon.  My gallery needs to be updated, I have testimonials from clients that aren’t even advertised, I have no products page and my website content is starting to sound like the content on websites of new pet photographers that have surfaced after me!  😉  Thank you for the compliment! 🙂

I want to extend a warm thank you to all my clients, family and supporters.  For the first time in my life I feel a purpose and I really enjoy doing what I do, photographing animals!  I’m blessed to all my clients who trust me with their furkids and have referred me to their family and friends.  Your support allows me to continue to do what I love, I’m extremely appreciative!  I have had one of the busiest Winter season’s so far, I cannot wait for the great weather!  THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!  THANK YOU!

Here is a photo from the archives, I hope it puts a smile on your face!!! 🙂  LOVE THE PUG!

Meet Ryder, a mountain biking partner, water loving, bird watching Vizsla!  I had the pleasure of photographing this stud muffin yesterday!  I had a blast photographing Ryder, except he was way too fast for me and my camera!!!! 😉  I really enjoyed this photo shoot because Zaira our dog is part Vizsla and I loved seeing a lot of the same characteristics in Ryder!  What a dude!

Enjoy a sneak peek of his modeling session! 🙂

What an awesome brisk sunny day for a photo shoot!  Shakespeare was awesome and he was a blast to work with, super photogenic.  I think he has done this before.  🙂

Enjoy a sneak peek of this beautiful Old English Sheep Dog! 🙂

    Your Pets In Heaven
    by Ken D. Conover
To have loved and then said farewell, is better than to have never loved at all.
For all of the times that you have stooped and touched my head, fed me my favorite treat and returned the love that I so unconditionally gave to you.
For the care that you gave to me so unselfishly.
For all of these things I am grateful and thankful.
I ask that you not grieve for the loss, but rejoice in the fact that we lived, loved and touched each others lives. My life was fuller because you were there, not as a master/owner, but as my FRIEND.
Today I am as I was in my youth. The grass is always green, butterflies flit among the flowers and the Sun shines gently down upon all of God’s creatures.
I can run, jump, play and do all of the things that I did in my youth. There is no sickness, no aching joints and no regrets and no aging.
We await the arrival of our lifelong companions and know that togetherness is forever.
You live in our hearts as we do in yours. Companions such as you are so rare and unique.
Don’t hold the love that you have within yourself. Give it to another like me and then I will live forever. For love never really dies, and you are loved and missed as surely as we are.
