I love Monday mornings, who thought I would have ever say that! 😉  This morning, I had the pleasure of photographing a cat named Max with his two human sisters, Brooke and Rachel!  I seldom get commissioned to photograph humans, but when I do I LOVE it.  It is very inspiring to take photos of the authenticity between an animal and their family.  It really hits home for me and many people who have had the honour of loving an animal as part of their family.

Here is a preview of Max, Brooke and Rachel’s photos!  Top models I would say! 😀

I was hired to photograph a sweet 14 year old Maltese named Missy.  Her human mom could not get a photo of her ever looking at a camera and she adores her Missy immensely.  Missy was a rescue 15 months ago from a horrible situation, she had tumors, she can no longer hear and she is blind.  With all these challenges, I can see why it would be difficult for her to follow a lens and give me a big doggy smile.  With my expertise in dog behaviour and using all of a dogs senses, I only captured photos of her looking at the camera.  Even when we wanted a shot of her sleeping, there was no way it was going to happen.  She followed me everywhere and we discovered she may not be completely blind.  She definitely saw my lens and followed it with her eyes.  🙂

I adored holding her and letting her kiss me all over my hands, she was so sweet.  Missy now has a loving home to live out the rest of her life, I wish her and her mom the best.  It takes an angel like her human mom to change her world forever.

Happy Hump Day and here is a whole bushel of cuteness.  It is not very often I get the opportunity to photograph newborn puppies and it really is out of the ordinary from my usual work!  AND….. I loved every minute of it.  Who knew photographing puppies a few days old would be so difficult.  They were a lot more active then I thought and these Old English Bulldogs were just so darn adorable.

Hope these photos of cuteness brightens your day! 🙂
