toronto dog photographer | Sweet Peaches!

toronto dog photographer | Check it this pretty Peach!  This wonderful Beagle is from Toronto and she is as sweet as her name.  This lady comes with a story of perseverance and tenacity through change.  She was a rescue.  When the shelter found her, they figured she got away from her earliest owner and fended for herself for a couple of years.  She had a litter of puppies at some point without vet care!  Then came along an older gentlemen.  He had just lost his wife and wanted a companion and he is a lifetime beagle-lover.  In 2010 he adopted Peaches and they became two peas in a pod.  Sadly, he became ill in 2014 and became increasingly unable to care for her.  He wanted nothing but the best for her.  He reached out to the rescue organization for help in finding a new home for Peaches.  His wish came true, April 2014 she found her new home with her current human.  It was best friends at first sight.  Peaches has been with her ever since and they are inseparable.   These two ladies moved from the country to the city and they are loved by all who meet them.  I was impressed to hear how resilient Peaches is, I knew it would be a fun shoot.  Well, accept she is a Beagle.  They are a great deal of fun, but typically nose to the ground and all business.  I wasn’t worried, I knew we would hit it off, plus I can bribe her with food.  The shoot was amazing.  I couldn’t believe she was 9.  She was fun, quick, in great shape and super super super sweet.  I’m so honoured to have met such a strong and resilient lady.  Check out a sneak peek of Peaches photo shoot.  Enjoy and you will become a victim of her cuteness.  Consider yourself warned!

toronto dog photographer | Buddy, run free little man.

I met Buddy early last week for one of his final days on Earth.  He crossed the rainbow bridge few days later and he is running free.  His human sister called me a few days before the shoot to inquire.  She explained to Buddy’s health situation and it was a surprise for her mom.  Buddy is twelve years old and he no longer had the use of his back legs.  His vet was away, but upon the vets return the family was going make a decision on his future.  She was concerned we wouldn’t have time for the shoot, but for these types of sessions, I push everything aside from my personal and business life.  We booked the shoot immediately.  When I met Buddy, he was super happy, enjoyed the smells around him and was very attentive to the treats, he-he.  I was really surprised how well he was doing, but his sister explained to me that it was odd, he had been on a decline.  A few days after the shoot, I received a message that he was no longer with his family.  His health continued to get worse.  The photo shoot was his last good day.  It’s like Buddy knew he had to be a little model for his family.  Some of you may be asking, “isn’t this a surprise?”. Well it was, but Buddy’s sister couldn’t hold it in much longer.  She let her mom know about the shoot they booked for Buddy.  I haven’t met Buddy’s mom, but I know her and Buddy have a close relationship.  I want to send her and the family my love during this difficult time.  I know how hard it is to lose a furkid.  It hurts, the home feels incomplete, the days seem to slow, and you wish you could cuddle with them one more time.  I wish I could say it goes away, but it doesn’t.  You never want to feeling of missing a loved one to go away, but it gets easier.  You will start to celebrate all the memories.  The days you are sad, some how Buddy will be the one that pops into your mind and makes you smile.

Buddy, it was a pleasure to have met you and you left a paw print in my heart forever.  Rest in peace little man.

“We are thrilled with the images Sandro captured during our mini session – and will treasure them always! His love of dogs, and expertise in photographing them, really shines through in his work. He was very accommodating to fit us into his schedule, took the time to get know what we wanted from the session, and also provided some great ideas .  He also does a lot of work to support animals in our community. His dedication to animal welfare and high quality work make him our pet photographer of choice. Can’t wait to do another session this year!” – Shawna S.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Leash Out Photography’s Mini Session. Sandro captured my Great Dane Charlotte’s regal personality perfectly in his beautiful candid shots.  The quality of his products is a true reflection of his craft.  I would recommend the Mini Session and Leash Out Photography to anyone who wishes to create a timeless keepsake of their beloved fur-babies.” – Sarah W.

“I had the good fortune to get a mini session with Sandro of Leash Out last November.  He captured both my boys (my two Jack Russells – James and Benson) personalities and the love that I have for them.  How wonderful it was to share the one picture on a Christmas card for my family and friends.  Thank you Sandro for the memories you created that day.” – Peggy, James and Benson

“Sandro’s talent for capturing a dog’s personality is uncanny!  He even managed to make our very excited/anxious dog look calm and playful.  We are so happy with the photos he took that they are on display all over our house and social media.  I cannot recommend a session with Leash Out, enough.  Sandro loves animals, and it comes through in his professionalism on set, as well as the amazing shots he gets of his 2-legged and 4-legged subjects.”  – Brian, Karah & King Hayes

ontario horse photographer | Alyssa & Josh Wedding!

I’m slowly catching up on all my posts and sneak peeks.  I have had a busy year and I’m super blessed for everyone’s support.  I couldn’t wait to post a preview of Alyssa and Josh’s wedding, and it is finally here.  Of course I couldn’t be at a wedding without some sort of animal hanging around.  Meet the horses named, Tanner and Matt.  They were amazing and cooperative models on the wedding day.  They performed like true champions!  I have never photographed a wedding with horses included.  I was ecstatic for having this honour and opportunity.  I also sneaked in plenty of quality time with the horses at the farm.  Enjoy and a sneak peek of Alyssa and Josh’s special day.  I wish you great start to this new chapter in your lives and thank you for choosing Leash Out!

It’s not every wedding you see the princesses’ dad walking her down the aisle on a beautiful horse.  AND I was there to capture it. 🙂

Alyssa was truly in the moment with Tanner.  A girls’ bond with her horse is very special.
