When we were at Cordova Lake my friend brought a dog named Bacon that he was dog sitting.  He is a pug and pugs have to most beautiful eyes for pictures, their eyes come alive on camera.  Bacon was a rescue from an owner who wasn’t very nice to him.  Way to go Anthony for adopting him.  He is an awesome dog and it’s great to see him have a second chance.  He had so much fun at the cottage and really enjoyed going into the lake.  Below is a picture courtesy of my neighbour who is a fabulous photographer.

This past weekend my wife and I went to a cottage for the weekend at Cordova Lake.  Cordova Lake is part of the Kawartha Lakes near Havelock, Ontario.  There is so much wild life, we saw woodpecker, beavers, chipmunks, snake, herring, loons, fish and a turkey vulture.  We absolutely love it there.  Of course we took our little ones, Bailey, Loco and Zaira.  My neighbours also went with us and they brought Zaira’s brother Journey.  A couple of my friends also joined us with their girlfriends.  It was a great weekend to take photos of the dogs and boy did I take advantage of it.

Zaira and Journey had a blast being out in the wild.  Zaira on the first day jumped off the dock not realizing that it was water.  She quickly learned to swim.  At least it didn’t scare her off from water.  Check out the video below of her and Journey enjoying the water.  As you will see in the video she hits a deep spot and gets dunked in the water head first, hehe, she had a blast.

Last Saturday I attended a barbecue at a dog park called Leash Free Milton.  It was the only day they allow us to advertise our businesses as they can’t by city by laws.  I just have to say the couple that takes care of the park have been so supportive of my pet photography business.  They also do their best to keep the park in great condition.  Of course this is all volunteer, so they get donation funds from all you dog lovers out there.  Please visit their website at www.leashfreemilton.com and spare a few extra dollars to support the park.

Global Pet Foods in Milton has also been very supportive by allowing me to post my flyers at their stores.  I have had many contacts from my clients coming from the flyers at Global Pet Foods.

Thank you everyone for your support!

First I would like to say ‘thank you’ to all the wonderful pets that were willing to be models for May promotion.  I really appreciate it and I got some great photo shots for my portfolio.  Having said that I have still  7 shoots to complete from my promotion!  Woohoo.  I would also like to extend a ‘thank you’ to all the owners who referred me to their friends and family.  Thank you for trusting me and my passion.

I will be launching my new website soon.  The business will be called Leash Out Pet Photography, a division of Photography by Sandro.  I’m really excited because the website will look sharp and there are some excellent shots of your dogs for my gallery.  Also there will be a new promotion for June.  I will still be doing the first hour of the shoot for free and there will be a cost per photo or a flat rate of all photos on a disc.  Look out soon for my promotion.

Have a great night and high paw to all the doggies!
