georgetown dog photographer | Sweet Lilly!

georgetown dog photographer | Hello friends!  Sorry for the lack of posts lately, my family has been extremely busy!  I missed you all so much and I’m excited to share with you Lilly’s photo session sneak peek.  She is definitely worth the wait.  Lilly is a sweet Boxer gal and very photogenic.  She was shy at times, but she warmed up to me quickly.  I had such a fun time photographing her and playing with her.  I’m a huge soccer fan, so we even had our own little match.  I have a lot of practicing to do, she kicked my butt.  If I were Cristiano Ronaldo, I would watch out for this gal, she may just win the Golden Boot next year.  It was an honour Lilly and family that you chose Leash Out to photograph you, thank you so much.  Enjoy the preview of Lilly’s photo shoot.

toronto dog photographer | Lucille!

toronto dog photographer |  My first day volunteering as a walker/trainer at the Oakville Milton Humane society, there were four dogs that I will never forget.  I walked into the adoption floor and there was Mea straight ahead of me, then I made a left and I was greeted by Norm, Jimmy and Lucille!  They made me feel right at home.  I had the honour of getting to know Lucille and especially how much she LOVES food during our time together.  A few months after meeting Lucille, a lovely couple walked in to the shelter with the intentions of adopting a long term residence.  They originally came to see Jimmy, and instead they fell in love with Lucille.  Like the saying goes, “the dog chooses you”.  Lucille was adopted by this amazing couple and she became a city dog, living the Toronto high life.  Traveling by subway, meeting new dogs, and best of all, eating fine dining.  We know how much she loves that part!  There is also more to Lucille everyone needs to know.  She became a certified therapy dog and regularly visits a seniors home.  They absolutely adore her.  She has been a busy gal since leaving the shelter.

I had the pleasure of photographing Lucille, and secretly, I was hoping I would one day.  For the folks who know me, I’m not a “sales” type guy.  My saying to people who are thinking of having their dog photographed is, “you will know when you are ready.”  I have stayed connected with her family, and one day I received a message from her poppa.  He said, “I think it is time we photograph Lucille.”  There it is, exactly what I hope for from anyone investing in me.  It is right for them.  It isn’t only a photo shoot, it is an experience and a gathering to create memories that will exemplify their bond forever on art.  I was so HAPPY to have been chosen to photograph this sweetie.  How can I not be!  She is the epitome of how amazing a rescue dog and the impact they can have on a family dynamic for the better.  Thank you so much for picking Leash Out.  I will never forget this experience.

Lucille will be leaving the city in the near future for the country life.  She will enjoy the remainder of her years running all about and owing it like she always does.  Enjoy a sneak peek of Lucille’s photos.

milton dog photographer | Layla!

milton dog photographer | Meet Layla, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever!  Yes, try saying that ten times fast. 😉  I bet you can’t, but if you can, I would love a video of it, ha-ha.  I had the pleasure of photographing this glamorous dog early last week.  I finally have the opportunity to post a sneak peek of her photos, I have been so busy.  I wish I could say I was slacking, but no way Jose!  Wow, I am really getting off track here, focus Sandro.

Layla was so much fun to capture on camera.  She loved to run through the woods like she owned it.  It was an honour to see this pretty specimen do her thing.  She is also very treat motivated, which made for such a fun interactive shoot.  As for sticks and a balls, they just aren’t her thing.  To each their own.  Good for you Layla for being who you are, and nothing less.  Enjoy a sneak peek of Layla’s photo shoot.

cambridge dog photographer | Odin and his big sister, Danny!

cambridge dog photographer | Meet Odin and Danny.  I had the honour of photographing these two models last week and it was a blast.  Odin is the puppy Australian Cattle Dog.  Danny isn’t always so keen on sharing her space with the new pup.  You know how puppies are.  They think all the toys are theirs, they are in your face and constantly craving your attention.  Danny was not about that, not always at least.  This might be concern when photographing the two of them together, but not for this dude.  I have to say it was a success, I have my ways, wink!  Having said that, I always respect their space.

The photo shoot was a very interesting adventure.  The early afternoon started with a seasonal high of 25 degrees Celsius.  I was even wearing a t-shirt and people who know me, know I’m allergic to the cold.  Well all of a sudden, it started to get dark.  I mean really dark.  As we made our way back to the car, arriving in a nick of time, boom, here comes the rain.  Torrential down pour, as if Dorothy from Wizard of Oz kicked her heals and a tornado was about to arrive.  It was so windy, I can barely keep my cap secure on my head.  It is a moment we will laugh about one day and never forget.

Here is a sneak peek of Odin and Danny’s photo shoot, enjoy!
